So, just a thimble of a backstory...
I first met Ralph De La Rosa back in 2007 when he was the manager of Go Yoga in Williamsburg, and the drummer in my former boyfriend's band.
I liked his breezy kindness from the gate, but we didn't really connect until 2010 when my then-roommate Kristen told me that she was taking classes at this Meditation center on the Bowery that was rooted in the arts, activism, and secular Buddhist studies--- basically my jam.
It was The Interdependence Project, and Ralph was holding post at the door, signing folks into class.
Cut to present day: He's a burgeoning psychotherapist (that still plays drums), I have 5 years of professional coaching under my fanny pack, and we're both still geeking out on that sweet spot where Buddhist philosophy meets neuroscience meets psychology meets habit transformation that actually STICKS.
