🔸— FAQ + USEFUL BITS —🔸

  1. Friday : We recommend arriving on-site at Village Yoga in Kinderhook sometime between 5pm and 5:15 so that there is time to get oriented before our first session opens at 5:30.

  2. All meals are vegan and gluten free and being supplied by Samascott Orchard & Farm. Produce is either grown at the farm (which is just down the block from us) or sourced from other local farms when possible.

  3. Pack clothing layers. The weather is predicted to be in the mid to high 80s during the day, and the mid 60s as a low in the evenings. We’ll be utilizing light air conditioning in the heat of mid-day, so best to have options if you are temperature sensitive. (think: tee shirts AND sweaters)

  4. Please no perfumes or strong fragrances. For the scent-sensitive among us. :)

  5. Practice Sessions will be punctuated by both sitting and walking meditation. Sitting meditation periods will be 30-45 minutes.

  6. We will have a handful of rapid Covid-19 tests on site : if you begin to feel (even remotely) ill during the weekend, please let us know.

  7. Meals will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Sunscreen is advised.

  8. Bring easy on, easy off shoes (like sandals) to transition between the street and the yoga studio which is a no-shoes zone.

  9. There is cell service and WiFi on-site — and also…

  10. We encourage you to wrap up work and emails the day before, and set an auto-responder so that you can give yourself the gift of a TECH FREE WEEKEND. Amen.

  11. You may want to bring a notebook, pen, and a good book to read in the evenings in lieu of technology. Or feel free to borrow a dharma book for the weekend from our library! We will have loaner books on hand.

  12. Recommended “Downtime” activities include : reading, journaling, napping, cloud-watching, etc. We have gorgeous walking trails in the village. HIGHLY recommended if you want to move your body in the morning and/or after lunch.

  13. There are still openings for the Saturday and Sunday morning yoga classes ($25/each) if you would like to add that option on to your weekend!
